Welcome to the Southington Town Clerk's office. The Town Clerk is an elected official, sworn to uphold constitutional law and the laws of the community. The clerk acts as a liaison between the citizens of our community and its government.

The Town Clerk's office broadcasts WEEKLY MUNICIPAL CALENDARS AND INFORMATION on the local cable government access TV station. The information is updated from our office each week and can be viewed 24 hours a day on COX Cable position #14. Town Council Meetings are also aired regularly on position #14 along with town events such as the popular Wednesday night Concerts on the Green. Check the program schedule on #14 for days and times.

The Town Clerk's Office offers many other services, which include:

• Updates to the Town Charter and Code of Ordinances
• Maintaining Town Council Minutes and schedules as well as agendas and minutes of all major Town Boards & Commissions
• Recording all documents pertaining to land transactions
• Issuing of Marriage Licenses
• Issuing of Civil Union Licenses
• Maintain Registry of Justices of the Peace
• Issuing certified copies of Birth, Death, Marriage Certificates, and Civil Union Licenses
• Issuing of Dog Licenses
• Selling Fishing and Hunting Licenses
• Recording of Trade Names Certificates
• Filing Federal Discharge Papers
• Provide Absentee Ballots for all Elections
• Maintaining local liquor permit file
• Provide Notary Services
